Has your copyright or trademark been misappropriated?

Copyright misappropriation doesn't just involve on-line theft of your image (though it often does.) Sometimes it involves someone going beyond the terms of your license (see License Agreements.) Sometimes it's simple theft of an image in a printed book to which you are entitled to royalties. There are lots of options.

Trademark misappropriation is even harder to identify and enforce. In many cases, you might need a litigation attorney, but frequently an angry letter can suffice. Even when you are dealing with big companies.

What can you do to enforce your copyright and trademark?

There are a lot of ways to enforce your copyright and trademark, but almost all of them begin with notification of the infringing party. And sometimes that letter needs to be angry. And sometimes it's going to big businesses or law firms. Or sometimes it's going to your neighbor Joe (seriously why do you keep dealing with him.) Either way, strongly worded letters can be the weapon of the day, which is why I got THIS fancy letterhead.
